Spirit Led

I am not on social media. This website is not connected to any social media. I do not follow anyone on social media and I am not aware of current online trends. I try to live my life by reading the Word by itself and by relying on the Holy Spirit to instruct me. In this time of war throughout the world, the Spirit plopped this verse in my mind:

“Be still, and know that I am God!
    I will be honored by every nation.
    I will be honored throughout the world.” (Psalm 46:10)

I had to look up where this verse was and found it quickly. As I continued to read the entire chapter of Psalm 46, I realized why God had led me to this verse, why the Spirit had directed me to this chapter of Psalms for a time such as this. Pasted below is the entirety of Psalm 46.

God is our refuge and strength,
    always ready to help in times of trouble.
So we will not fear when earthquakes come
    and the mountains crumble into the sea.
Let the oceans roar and foam.
    Let the mountains tremble as the waters surge! Interlude

A river brings joy to the city of our God,
    the sacred home of the Most High.
God dwells in that city; it cannot be destroyed.
    From the very break of day, God will protect it.
The nations are in chaos,
    and their kingdoms crumble!
God’s voice thunders,
    and the earth melts!
The Lord of Heaven’s Armies is here among us;
    the God of Israel is our fortress. Interlude

Come, see the glorious works of the Lord:
    See how he brings destruction upon the world.
He causes wars to end throughout the earth.
    He breaks the bow and snaps the spear;
    he burns the shields with fire.

10 “Be still, and know that I am God!
    I will be honored by every nation.
    I will be honored throughout the world.”

11 The Lord of Heaven’s Armies is here among us;
    the God of Israel is our fortress.

Don’t go running to social media for answers to the problems of the world. Don’t run to influencers or vloggers to explain what these wars and conflicts mean and what their impacts will be. Run to the Word of God! It is the only source of help and information we truly need. God is our refuge and strength. He is ready to help in times of trouble. We don’t need to be afraid. God’s city cannot be destroyed. The nations are in chaos and their kingdoms crumble, but the Lord of Heaven’s Armies is among us. God is our fortress. He causes wars to end throughout the earth. Today, be still and know that He is God.

To the glory of the Lord God, whose I am, and whom I serve.
