Restore Our Land

“The wicked will go down to the grave. This is the fate of all the nations who ignore God.” (Psalm 9:17)

“What joy for the nation whose God is the Lord, whose people he has chosen as his inheritance.” (Psalm 33:12)

“For the nations that refuse to serve you will be destroyed.” (Isaiah 60:12)

“Godliness makes a nation great, but sin is a disgrace to any people.” (Proverbs 14:34)

“Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land.” (2 Chronicles 7:14)

Notice how individualized the instructions are in this verse from 2 Chronicles. The promise from the Lord is that if His people will answer this call to humility and pray, seek His face, and turn from their wicked ways, He will hear from heaven, forgive our sins, and restore our land. Our land is in desperate need of restoration. Do you humble yourself daily? Do you pray daily? Do you seek God daily? Do you turn from your wicked ways, choosing the Holy Spirit over your sinful nature, daily? If every person who finds their identity in Christ would do this, we will see God restore our land. This 4th of July, Independence Day weekend, please humbly pray for God’s healing in our nation. 

May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.
